Caroline Richards, founder of Caro launched the Caro Bath and Bed range in 2002 during her trip to Delhi’s bustling wholesale market. After a five year break from fashion design, the array of gorgeous ribbons, trims and silky fabrics was so inspiring that she found herself designing with fashion textiles again.

Working with a small factory in India, Caroline Richards has been able to build a good relationship with her team of tailors and have always maintained good working conditions for those in her employ. On the ground floor, a school has been setup for the children of the employees, which is funded through charitable donations. Her workforce has grown as Caro Bed and Bath has become more established, providing more employment opportunities in the area.

The collection has gone from strength to strength since 2002 and is sold in Liberty, Fortnum and Mason, Kanematsu Japan, Fenwick, Irish based Avoca, Worldly, Wicked and Wise and several other lovely boutique and lifestyle stores across the UK.

Caro products are colourful and visually stunning with practical appeal. The combination of fabrics, importance of finishing, binding, stitching and contrast of colour has created a range that is ‘colourful, quirky and unique’. The blend of colours is constantly being updated and the designs make perfect presents.

Caro has added a new addition, introducing Caro Collection - a beautiful range of exclusive Caro prints and designs for sleepwear or for dressing up for winding down after a long day. Launched for Autumn/Winter 2006, the range is available from our key stockists.
